Gregg States is from the San Francisco Bay Area and attended both Foothill Junior College and De Anza College where he received his Associate of Arts degree in photography. He then continued his art education at San Francisco State University. During college he got hooked on skiing, (as many of us did), and moved to Lake Tahoe in 1971.
For the last twenty years, Gregg has split his time in the Lake Tahoe area between teaching skiing and supervising in the Snowsports School at Alpine Meadows during the winters, and various facets of the construction industry in the summers. He now has finally decided to embark on a less seasonal position as a CAD draftsperson, making use of his construction experience as well as his degree in art.
