Hanni Schwiesow is a junior engineer in our structural department. Joining Gary Davis Group in July of 2006 she has been able to practice the Tahoe design methods and strategies for creating accurate and efficient structural designs. She is very excited to be part of a firm that is active in sustainable design and has experience in LEED certification. She is also looking forward to expanding her engineering background with the technical and unique designs Gary Davis Group is known for.
Hanni was born and raised in Homer, Alaska and in 2001 moved to Reno, Nevada to go to school for engineering. In May 2005 she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures. Her career started with a structural designer position at Blakely Johnson and Ghusn in Reno, where she was an integral part in designing commercial concrete tilt-up warehouses in Nevada and California.
Being outdoors is definitely one of her priorities. Hanni’s love for powder days, blue skies, clear water and fresh air made the Tahoe area very attractive. She loves to soak up the sun with swimming off the pier in the summer, skiing at Alpine in the winter and snapping photos to capture every memory. Most of all she likes to spend time with her friends. “This is my paradise.”
