Hanni Schwiesow is a project engineer in our structural department. Since joining Gary Davis Group in July of 2006, she has been primarily involved in the design of custom wood framed structures but also has experience in concrete, steel and reinforced masonry design. Her projects range from small remodels to large multi-level residences in locations from Donner Summit to Park City, Utah. The diversity of these projects has increased Hanni’s awareness to detail and importance of complete structural plans. This year Hanni has become involved in some of the local associations, including the Sierra Green Building Association (SiGBA) and the Truckee Tahoe Engineers Association (TTEA).
Hanni was born and raised in Homer, Alaska. She moved to Reno, Nevada in 2001 to pursue a degree in civil engineering at the University of Nevada. With Lake Tahoe in her backyard, she was able to enjoy many weekends in the area. Hanni’s love for powder days, blue skies, clear water and fresh air made the Tahoe area very attractive and following graduation, she decided to make Tahoe City her home.
