Sean Cleary has recently relocated to the Lake Tahoe region to join the Civil Engineering Department at the Gary Davis Group from Auburn, where he was working as a civil engineer. Sean completed a M.E. Civil Engineering from the University of Utah in 2002, with a focus on water resources engineering, avalanche dynamics, GIS, and snow hydrology. Sean’s experience includes the design and construction of private and public civil engineering related projects from conceptual phases to final construction. He specializes in drainage design and analysis, hydraulics, flood plain analysis, domestic water supply forecasting, water quality treatment practices, erosion and sediment control measures. Sean has experience working with the US Forest Service, supervising field crews directly responsible for the construction and maintenance of recreational facilities and forest resources.
Sean is passionate about outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. He has shared his love of recreation with others as a wilderness ranger and a ski instructor for almost 10 years. He is an avid guitar player and family man. He grew up in Minnesota and has since enjoyed living in numerous locations including, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and California.
