With spectacular views of California’s Sierra Crest, this home features splendid sights from within, as well. The full timber frame structure contains red oak interior and white oak where exposed to the elements. Large snow loads demanded many special connections, two tube steel moment frames and modified structural insulated panels (SIP). The foundation is constructed with insulated concrete forms (ICF). Our careful coordination with the SIP manufacturer, Riverbend Timber Frame, architect, general contractor & client made this a wonderfully successful project.
