The Gary Davis Group has over twenty years in the Tahoe-Truckee area and forty-plus years of cumulative experience in the structural design of projects that are constructible while achieving our clients’ goals and meeting their budgets.

We have designed buildings using almost all types of materials and structural systems. Our main focus, however, is on wood frame residential construction typical of the Tahoe-Truckee region. Our department brings practical as well as technical expertise to our clients, as several members of our structural staff are experienced builders. We take great pride in designs that are buildable.

Beyond residential, our staff has experience with commercial and public structures, hotels and high-rises. The group has provided its services to the local recreation industry by designing docks and piers, back-country bridges, and has extensive background in alpine-ski support structures.

Gary Davis Group has particular expertise in designing for heavy snow load, high seismicity, and high wind loads, and our team is thoroughly familiar with the current building codes, local/regional jurisdictional requirements and green construction methods and materials.
